Chelsea fans to welcome new defender

The Sergio Reguilon is edging closer to a stunning Chelsea move as the Blues are in advanced talks to get a transfer deal done.

We all know that Frank Lampard is eager to spend some serious money in the transfer window and bring in another left-back to the side, as that is an area of the pitch that they are having serious issues in.

That has led to alot of speculation in the media which has suggested that Ben Chilwell is the clubs number one transfer target, with the Leicester City man now regarded as one of the very best in Europe.

But negotiations have proved more difficult than expected with the Foxes demanding a world record fee for a defender, exceeding the £80m Man Utd paid to sign Harry Maguire, which has meant that Chelsea have switch their attentions to Reguilon

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Sevilla this season, and was expected to make that move back to Madrid and fight for the regular starting spot at the club,
But it appears the Blues have stolen a march and have opened talks about a transfer deal.

They must now decide whether to make an approach to loan the player or pay a £22.5m fee.

Look, Chilwell is a very good player that would have been a great signing, but he is not worth £75 million and Leicester are thinking crazy asking that much money for the man.

But at the end of the day, he is proven, he is top-class and he is ready to walk straight into this Chelsea side with every fan knowing what he would offer the club.

If the reports are true and Reguilon is closing in on a transfer move, there will be many fans out there that have no idea whom he is.
